Award winning artist Vojna Bastovanovic Casteel was born in the European capital city of Belgrade, Serbia.

She enrolled in the University of Fine Arts in Belgrade and received her Bachelor’s and Masters degrees there. Living in Europe, and being the daughter of an ambassador, gave her the opportunity to travel. She lived for a time in Paris and in South Africa, which influences the methods and subject matter of her art.

Vojna is a member of ULUS (Artist’s Guild of Serbia), and has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Europe and America. She has created hundreds of square meters of portraiture mosaics professionally for public spaces, large churches, and private commissions.

In 2016 Vojna moved to Texas where she is now bringing a tradition of European art to the United States. Her paintings, drawings, and mosaics are in many private collections around the world.
